Week 7 Blog, Due Sunday, October 14th, 2012
This week you have been introduced to vectors. Think about the world around. Vectors are present in many different aspects of your life. For example, an exit sign on the highway has a vector drawn on it to show you which direction to go. For this week's blog, I want you to think about different applications for vectors in the real world. List at least one application for vectors in the real world and tell me about it below. an example of vector is when the weather man says that a system is headed in a direction at a speed time and direction.

An example of a vector is when the street signs say only one way. It tells you in which direction to go and the street says how fast to go.

DeleteAn example of a vector would be when your roller blading to the corner store and the street signs tell you if its a One way street or not & it also tells you what speed to go.
ReplyDeleteWhy couldn't the person walk to the store or drive there? Either way as long as you travel a distance in a certian direction. Like going to the store.

DeleteAn example of a vector is when you look for directions online & they give them to you written out. It shows you with an arrow, direction & speed you should be going.

ReplyDeleteI thought of this one too! Especially because of the movie "Charlie and the chocolate factory" . I remember the elevator cause it had an arrow for any direction they could think of.
