We have already completed almost 13 weeks of school. The first 9 weeks we did not have tablets in the classroom, but for the past four week's we have used the android tablets just about every day. What I would like for you to do for this weeks blog is discuss the following:
1. Do you like/not like having the tablets and why.
2. Has your grade improved or gone down since we started using the tablets and why.
3. Anything you would like us to try with the tablets that we have not done so far.
4. Do you think we rely on the tablets too much or its just right.
5. Anything else you want to add.

I actually like the tablets because I think it gives us a bit of independence. My grade hasn't dropped with the tablet, still keeping an A. Sometimes I think that the tablets are used too much , however, it does make the class and the work a lot easier and more fun. I believe that they are more good than bad.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The tablets are like a bitter sweet kind of thing. Sometimes it works really well and other times it's a struggle. Of course, some things we simply can not control though. But when they work fine, I enjoy them. The good definitely outweighs the bad to them. I'm sure others feel the same.

DeleteI like having the tablets to use. Since we have had them, you have sometimes given us the lists of things to be done for the day and I enjoy that because we work on our own pace. It doesn't let anyone slow us down unless we get distracted which does happen at times. My grade has been a bit better maintained so far. The usage of the tablets just depends with what assignments are given or lessons. I wish some other classes would also have access to the tablets as well.

DeleteI enjoy the tablets my grade lowered a bit but i think its not because of the tablets.Its much easier to know what im supposed to do and whats due on what day.Its kind of like a classs online.

DeleteSame about my grade. I think the tablets have their ups and downs but to me it takes us away a sort of dependence that tends to happen in the classroom, even though we do depend on tablets.

DeleteI like using the tablets because it shows what we need to do and it's relaxing but when I'm low on my grades I focus on that much more than using the tablets I would kinda like to learn more from my teacher than a machine which at times is boring

DeleteHello Mrs.Ego! I like the tablets sometimes. Sometimes they are so helpful like in Edmodo. I love Edmodo. It is great and I like learning from there ,but there are some cases when we get on other games and websites and it has so many technical difficulties. I don't like when that happens because i feel like it wastes time and i don't learn a thing that day. My grade has improved since the tablets and i thank Edmodo. I feel like there is days we rely on the tablets but they are fun!

DeleteI kinda like the tablets and I brought my grade up to an A. They are very useful but sometimes the internet stops working and it kicks me out of the website when I'm working on an assignment. But other than that there pretty cool! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah I hate it when the internet goes down especially in the quizzes because when I'm done it sometimes says that I only answered 3 out of 5 questions.
DeleteThe tablets are alright. My grade has actually dropped down I think. Although, I don't believe it was all the tablets fault. I think there's an equal balance with the tablets. I don't really know what else we can do with the tablets. I would like to see though. I like the tablets because it gives me a sort of independence in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteYeah it's not the tablets fault it's ours.And yeah it is very independent which is a realy good thing, because it's preparing us for the future.
DeleteI like the tablets but they can sometimes be a pain in the butt when some apps don't work right and the internet goes down, but other than that I like them because the work and notes are right in front of you rather than having to copy them from the board. My grade has not gone up or down it has remain an A+. I think that we do rely on the tablets so much, I would like it better if the teacher teaches me instead of the tablet, they are helpful to a certain point.

ReplyDeleteI personally like the tablets.My grades have dropped a little, but it's my own fault.Because the tablets has the list on what is to be done on that day.And I suppose i'm still getting used to doing independent work without the teacher and everybody working together to getting things done.And at the moment there isn't anything we haven't tried because we have tried a lot of cool things so far.

DeleteI like the tablets, but my grades have dropped because there s times where i dont understand how to do things and the tablets dont explain like how the teacher would.They are helpfull when we use edmodo for quizzes.
ReplyDeleteYeah edmodo are helpful quizzes, I learn a lot by them just by doing them.Though if I get some wrong I can just go see the ones I missed and see how I got it wrong

ReplyDeleteI like having the tablets because I can just look up questions I have on google and learn more by just reading.My grades have quite haven't changed.Some cool ideas would be like doing cool experiments or fun projects.We don't really rely on the tablets too much,just right.I'm gonna pass up my grade xD

DeleteI personally like yhe tablets, they are very helpful in many situations. My grade i believe has stayed pretty much the same. However, i do think that sometimes we need a little of explaining & doing couple of problems together before getting to work right away on the tablets. Other than that its very useful and i wish we had some in every class:D but we dont:(

ReplyDeleteI actually do like having the tablets because it’s a new way to learn and I love playing games on it. I have maintained my grades with and without the tablets. I do think we rely on the tablets a little too much, I think we should do like an every other day thing with the tablets and another when you actually teach or just a day to go over everything we have learned.
ReplyDeleteI like using the tablets. They are really useful and much easier than handouts. Its also much quicker i think. My grade is averaging the same, so its actually a really good thing. I think we use the tablets the right amount of time!

Makes the class too social? Not really iguess it just depends on what class u have because first period is dead silence.

Deletei do think that my grade went down when we initially began using the tablets but i think it was just getting used to the new learning style. i was used to the teacher standing at the front of the room walking us through the assignment. the tablets push us to be more independent
ReplyDeleteAt first i did because it was something new to try out. My grade has gone down because i get distracted but ive figured out that ihave to be more independent now when using the tablet. We should use our tablets like journals and save our notes,projects,labs etc. in it. Instead of using both. I think we do rely on the tablets. We should have more class discussion using the tablets.

I agree. I really like them and as helpful as they're SUPPOSED to be I think they can be a distraction sometimes. I also sometimes get kind of confused on what were learning.
DeleteI LOVE THE TABLETS!! They help us learn independently which is great! My grade has gone a little down, but it was not because of the tablets, it was because of science fair... either way, something i love is the fact that google is always available to us whenever we have a doubt!

My grade has improved A LOT, since the previous 9 weeks but that is because i was determined to pick up my grade. i think the tablets had made class easier for all of us. and it will keep improving our class more and more
ReplyDeletePersonally I like the tablets except the glitches! I feel the class would be more productive if there wasn't so many apps that freeze or shut down. I think that wastes a lot of time. Other than that, I like them. I love using them for notes and warmups and things like that. My grade I think actually went up!

DeleteI like the tablets because its fun & and better then just writing notes all the time. Sometimes it's slow but it's not a big deal. Idk if it helped my grade because I'm just lazy but I'm pretty sure it has helped others. However I think it will just keep helping as the year goes by.
ReplyDeleteWell this is just me , I don't like using the tablet because it does not help me out , I like it old style when you teach me how to do the work because it's easier and actually makes me DO the work instead of rushing The problems in the tablets ,. I like to take my time to understand it more , you understand ? I actually like writing in my notes to know what are we suppose to review and how to do the problems .And my grades did drop from an A to a C but it is sometimes the tablet cause I don't have time to do the blog and look at Edmodo for work , and it actually bothers my eyes from tablets ,idk why but I been getting headaches :-P but I know we're still gonna do the tablets but I'll try my BEST to keep my grade up and TRY to do the blog And to understand the work in the tablets
