Week 21 Blog, Due Sunday, February 11th, 2013
Thinking ahead to TAKS, we have gone over cells, cell parts, DNA, and RNA. Log into this website to play a review game over cells, cell parts, and cell functions: http://www.neok12.com/quiz-games.htm (you will need to copy and paste the link into your browser). Under life sciences, click on cell structures. Play at least two different quiz games. For your blog entry, I want you to tell me how you did. I do not need a score or specific number wrong, I just want you to tell me if it was easy for you and you got most of them correct or you had a hard time and need more review over the material. If you did not do so well, I would like to know what you plan to do going forward to ensure success on this objective on the actual test in April. Remember, in order to get full credit, you must complete one original comment AND comment on at least one other post. If you have any problems, let me know BEFORE the 11 pm deadline. Happy Blogging! I played Plant vs Animal Cells on that game it was very easy. But for what does what #1 i need just a little bit more practice on knowing what does what. but over all that game was easy too.

DeleteI played the game plants vs animals cells and it was just a little challenge but I did finish it. The what does what was just easy for nothing difficult.But other than that it was okay.

DeleteYou should play the Quiz on cells game is interesting and gives you knowledge about the different parts of the cell too.
DeleteI had a difficult time with both games the plants vs animal cells and the what does what because Biology is one of my subjects that I struggle on.Naming and knowing the different parts of the cell is difficult for me.

DeleteI'm in the same boat! Remembering the different parts was a struggle for me as well! I'm sure we can refresh our memory soon though! If I find any good websites, I'll be sure to let you know

DeleteI did cell organelles #1 and what does what #1 they were actually easier than I expected because I usually have a harder time with the organelles and what their function is.

ReplyDeleteI did Cell Organelles #1 & #3 they were pretty easy but i had a little trouble remembering some of the part of the cell. But if i study a little more i think ill be good.

DeleteI though cell organelles #1 was easy. I think since the games weren't something similar to short response I got it quicker since I had options and I favor multiple choice tests over written ones.

DeleteWell I played plant vs. animal cells and what does what #1 since they were the popular games.The first one was easy and I didn't have a problem with it, but the second one was harder I think I need more review on what does what in the cells.

DeleteI didn't have any difficulty. That cell diagram that we had to do helped out a lot with remembering the cell structures.
ReplyDeleteI played Plant vs Animal and also Quiz on cells. I did very well I only missed two on the plant vs animal and the quiz on cells one. I enojoyed the game it was helpful. It made me remeber the 9th grade biology class.

DeleteI played cellular transport and who does what2 and I got most of the questions right and I learned what the other ones were by guessing. I had fun by playing because I was bored.

ReplyDeleteI played cell division identify mitosis state. I didn't know what cytokenesis or prometephase was. I didn't really do to well on that game, but i tried.

DeleteI played the quiz on cells game and the plant vs cells game. I did very well on the quiz on cells game by not missing any, but missed two in the plant vs cells game. The reason why I missed them is because I couldn't remember the differences between a plant cell and animal cell. I plan on reviewing the biology objective until I mastered it so I can do well in the TAKS.

DeleteI liked the little game, i did good on the questions. They were pretty easy i didnt miss much. I plan on reviewing more so that i can do good in all objectives.

ReplyDeleteyea the differences can be a little fuzzy , but for the most part the plant cells will have something the animal cells don't ie chloroplast.

I played animal vs. plant cells and city analogy quiz #1. I did pretty decently. The information didn't come to me fast though. I really had to think about some of them. But I did do better than i thought I would do. I always had problems trying to remember this kind of information.

ReplyDeleteI played the plant vs cell game and cell city analogy #1. surprisingly i did better on the cell city analogy game then the plant vs cell game even though I thought I knew more about the plant vs cell one. I guess I remembered more about the cells than I thought. In order to improve, I just need more practice memorizing and actually study.

DeleteI played the animal vs. plant cells and what does what. I think i did okayish on both of them, but i do need a little bet of refreshing on certain things. What really helped me have been the TAKS days that we've been doing. They're extremely helpful!

DeleteI did cell organelles 1& 2 and 5/8 & 4/8. The ones I got right I guess I used suffixes and letters to figure out what was what but yeah, I need to learn those parts.
ReplyDeleteI played the quiz about eukaryotic and prokaryotic & cellular transport. I don't a lot of differences I just remember like the different types of the like protists and stuff. I get cellular transport
ReplyDeleteI did, cell organelles 1 & did pretty well then I did cell organelles 2 & was a little more difficult then I did plant and animal cells and I did pretty well too. I think I need to overall work on everything to make sure I know it well.

Deletei played what does what, quiz #2 and got all of them right. i have to admit i guessed on a couple and used process of elimination on a few. on quiz on cell organelles #3 i didn't do so hot i got 6/8 correct. i could use some help on the less obvious structures of the cell.

ReplyDeleteThe games are great way to review, but it's better to do the games and also review other material. I think everyone comprehended the games better because they weren't in the paper and pencil test format we're all used to.

ReplyDeleteI played cell parts and photosynthesis. I didn't really do all that good, I had a difficult trying to remember what part did what. It took me a couple of times to get the right one, but I eventually did. I really need to refresh my memory on the structure of things haha.
