Think about The Ultimate Graphing Challenge game we played in the library on Wednesday. If you were absent or want to try again, here is the link: www.theuniverseandmore.com . Which graphs or concepts did you have difficulty with? What level were you able to reach in class? Do you think the game helped you with your understanding of graphing motion? Please give me a reflection on the activity and if there are any changes you feel I should make. Make sure you post your response by 11:00 pm on Sunday night. REMEMBER: you must make an original comment PLUS reply to one other post in order to receive full credit. If you have questions or any problems posting, please send me an email BEFORE 11:00 pm sunday.

I got World 2 level 10-12ish. I really hated the blind graphs and the meteor levels. I did help me though.
ReplyDeleteLucky!! i got stuck in level 14...then the bell rang >.<
DeleteYea the blind graphs and meteor were hard and i didnt like them either.
Deletethe blind graphs were difficult to pass
DeleteYeah, it took me forever to pass the blind graphs! They were really challenging!
DeleteThe blind graphs were kind of my favorites! They were trickier but you just had to experiment and find the relationships.
DeleteI hate the blind graphs. I hate them!
DeleteYeah the blind ones were very frustrating! >.<
DeletePersonally I was slow in the uptake...and got stuck a lot so I only reaches level 14. It was really fun and it actually helped me grasp the graph thing better. Can we do it again?
ReplyDeleteoops reached
DeleteGiiiiirl, you did so much better than me!
Deletei kind of got stuck alot to
Deletei really liked the activity. it really showed me how dynamic graphs can be when applied in physics. i made it to world 2 lv 4
ReplyDeletelucky ! I couldn't make it out of world 1
DeleteYup me too. It. Was hard. To pass. The levels
DeleteI personally didn't like the game. I didn't understand it much. It frustrated the heck out of me and had me making funny sounds!
ReplyDeleteThe game was ok, i got to world 2 level 5 and it was a little hard. It did help me understand of graphing motion.
ReplyDeleteIt was Funny when you were beating me and Juan then I found out I was on the wrong game! :D hahaha...
DeleteThe Game was Really Fun!! Except I was on the Wrong game for most of the class period. Hahaha... But when i did switch to the right game I made it pass the whole World 1. It really did help me understand graphing and the Hard part was when I was on the wrong game I made it to the Acceleration graph and I couldn't do it.
ReplyDeleteWow seriously. How did no one notice
Deletethat sucks. but at least you caught up.
DeleteThat's funny how you were playing the wrong game for most of the time, but fortunatly you were able to realize and switch to the right game, and still making it pass world 1.
Deletei didnt get very far. but i did reach the last level of the 1st world. i felt it to be very helpful and it helped my understanding of graphing
ReplyDeletei was stuck on world 1 for the whole class period, but over all it was fun
ReplyDeleteI was too! I hope you enjoyed though I did.
DeleteI got to world 2 level 5, and the graph I hated was the blind ones. I actually think it did help but the ones with acceleration are so going to keep confusing me. I had fun learning with the game and seeing Ms.Ego try it too.
ReplyDeletei agree the blind graphs were hard sometimes
DeleteWhat a tyro xD lol you barely got there
Deletei liked the game but some of the levels were difficult, i obviously didnt make that far after getting frustrated by it the blind graphs got difficult
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the game! It was confusing at first but I figured it out on my own! I learned about velocity more in depth because the game allowed me to move the little dude around. I made it to 1-15.
ReplyDeleteI learned the velocity more also. It helped alot more.
DeleteI had difficulties with the graphs that you had to move by itself. I was able to make it to world 2 level 7. I liked it, i was kind of confused at first but i started to get the hang after a while. I liked that the graphs were different made me think a lil more. No changes it was fun.
ReplyDeleteYeah, each level was a little harder and made you think more about what you were doing!
DeleteEven though i would get stuck at times i really like this game. It did help me understand about velocity speed and acceleration as each level went on. The moat difficult levels were the ones where you couldn't see where you were going D: but other than that it was fun(: I made it to world 2- 5/7 i dont remember, no changes should be made!
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with you jess the ones you couldn't see were hard.
DeleteAt first i would just guess and still go through even dough i didn't know what i did.But then I saw was going on and got pretty easy.
DeleteI made it to world 2 like the 4th level of it. I actually found it fun to play. It was difficult in the beginning but once you understand it, it gets easier. Although somtimes it got me frustrated when i couldn't get it right. The game helped me understand the concepts. It was a great way to learn.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even go past world 1. The graphs that had a straight diagonal were the most frustrating >.<
DeleteI didn't make it past world 1 but the game was fun and.it helped me understand the graphs. It was fustrating though.
ReplyDeleteIn the Ultimate Graphing Challenge i made it to level 1-14 :(
ReplyDeleteI am no good at computer games. I had trouble with the velocity graphs and when it was suppose to change direction. It was very frustrating. Once you explained it to me I understood it better. when we got to class the next day and gave us problems it was much easier to do the problems now that I fully understood the concept. The game was very fun and I think many of us learned from it.
I had difficulties on how a negative slope was speeding up..but in class you explained it some more and I understood. I reached 1-14 I think. I couldn't get past it though. I believe it helped me understand velocity a lot more. It was very fun and it was a new way of learning.
ReplyDeleteI made it to 1-17, I think. I actually really liked the game ! I had fun with it and i also understood the concept of velocity better. The hardest but funniest thing for me in this game was pushing the wrong arrows. It was also very entertaining seeing other classmates getting all into it!I really enjoyed it though and you should keep assignments like these!
ReplyDeleteI had lots of fun too,and i got really into the game!
DeleteI liked the entire game because it was challenging yet fun at the same time. I think the game was able to help me with velocity and acceleration, too. The ones I had difficulty with were ALL the blind graphs and the first couple of levels on world 2!
ReplyDeleteYeah i agree with the blind graphs being hard.
DeleteThe game was fun, even though i only got to level 19 world 1. I was stuck on the blind ones for some time. But i pretty much have the position graphs down.
ReplyDeleteAt first the I didn't understand the game but in the end I got the hang of it. For me the most difficult part of the game was trying to graph the blind graphs because they were challenging, you had to play around with it. I made it to world 1 level 21 which for me was the hardest level because it was a blind graph and had too many changes in direction. Overall the game did really help me with my understanding of graphing motion and hopefully we can play this game one more time.
ReplyDeleteI like the game even dough i got stuck on some parts, especially on those blind ones. And it did kind of help me with understanding graph a little better. Hope we play the game in CLASS again.
ReplyDeleteI think the game was fun and i got to level 17 world 1. The difficult part was the blind graphs. They took more time to work on. The game was a great way to practice
ReplyDeleteSame here, i couldn't figure out how to pass it!
DeleteHaha! i know! everyone seemed to have problems with the blind graphs!
DeleteAna Mendoza
I was totally lost in the beginning ,but i caught on. I was on world 1-17 i think. I was stuck on it. To me that was the hardest. I can't remember what it was about, but overall i enjoyed it. It was fun/frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI spent like 10 minutes on that level!!! It was frustrating.
DeleteSame here. I didn't even know what I was doing the first half of the level until Nathan pointed out I was supposed to follow the carved out block. Then I had trouble getting the little character to move at the right acceleration.
DeleteSame here i couldn't figure our how to pass it!
ReplyDeleteThe game was really fun! well, except on the blind graphs! those were hard! In the end, i made it to world 2. I would've made it farther, but i accidentally kept playing world 1. The game helped me increase my knowledge of graphing motion a little more and i am very thankful!
ReplyDeleteAna Mendoza
I think I had the mosst trouble with the meteor levels because you had to predict where you going and to avoid them. Also on the one where you couldn't see where you were going you had to use some Matt skills which I had no problems with. Overall it was fun and a good learning experience.
ReplyDeleteThe invisible graphs were the ones I took long time.
ReplyDeleteI finished at level 15.
Hey i finished at level 15 too. But i had fun
DeleteI liked the game! I made it to 2-13 I think? The blind ones were hard because you had to watch for position, so it helped me understand how important position is in a graph. I really liked the acceleration ones!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought I was going to be really good at that game because i passed the first few levels rather quickly, but no, i kinda sucked at it. It was really fun though. I stopped on world 1 level 17, i spent nearly 10 minutes on it and then the bell rang. But the game was a million times better than a worksheet.
ReplyDeleteHaha, i completely agree with you that it was way better than a worksheet. At least you got to level 17, i know someone that only got to 7.
DeleteI liked the activity because it needs you to be able to understand how the graph is made to actually make one. I got to world 2 level 12, and the only one that I didn't like doing was the one where you could not see anything until the end, it was very difficult and time consuming.
ReplyDeleteme too but i did get pass level one but level 2 was hard and i didn't like level 2
Deletegreat graphing project. helped me fine position and velocity acceleration
ReplyDeleteYea it helped me on that to a little bit
DeleteThe game was a good way for me to learn velocity and timing. The difficulty I had at first was figuring out how to change the time and velocity and how that really effected the graph. I only reached level 14 on the first world, because 13 was really hard.I think we should go again it was really fun:)
ReplyDeleteI had trouble figuring that out too I could of used some expert help since I was nowhere near level 14.And if we do it again I will succeed and conquer world 1.
DeleteI liked it except the parts were they cover the board it really bothered me and I some trouble at times with the acceleration but overall I was ok and guessed at times
ReplyDeleteIf I remember corerctly I had trouble with level 17 on world 1. I could not get past it because I just didn't know what to do half of the time. Then the next half that little animal thing didn't move when I wanted it too. This game really did help me with understanding graphing motion. It was fun and way better than a worksheet.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Edward it was way better than having to do a worksheet.
DeleteI think the game helped me with understanding how everything works. It was a lot of fun. I got to world 2 level 10 and got stuck there. Thank you for making learning fun.
ReplyDeleteSince I was absent the day you guys played the game I had to figure the whole game out on my own.And the whole time I was stuck on world 1.I started getting the hang of it in the end but over all it was okay and kinda frustrating since I had no idea what I was doing.
ReplyDeleteI like it execpt were we had play with the blind graph. The game really does help knowing the difference between velocity & acceleration. I got to world 2!
ReplyDeletei got to world to as well! freaking jason beat the whole game -___-
DeleteI also hated the blind graphs. It was so hard to figure it out. But after a while I got the hang of it
DeleteThe b,ind graph made me get fustrated -.-lol
Deletethe game helped me with understanding graphs a lot better and understand how velocity and acceleration works. I think i understood this better and caught on way easier because it was fun it caught my attention. the level that tripped me out was the last one on the first world. but other than that i killed the game.!(:
ReplyDeleteI believe the game did help me understand some things and i got to world 2-14. I feel proud!
ReplyDeleteI like it because it's fun and helpful,.. It was easy at first but then it got harder -__- but I like the chalk when you have to guess if it's on the line or not !:)) best Game ever and we should do that more often then doing paper work !.
ReplyDeleteI made to 2-10. I enjoyed playing this game because it taught me about velocity and acceleration. Also about how your initial velocity can affect how and which way the line can curve.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jouse, the game helped me better understand velocity.
ReplyDeletethe game was really fun I really learned alot with this game:)
ReplyDeleteRolando Rodriguez: I was able to go to world two level 15. The graphing game was fun, but it was a mess. The reason I think this is because it made me think more than I had to when it was simple.
ReplyDeleteThe game was fun I now understand velocity
ReplyDeleteI sort of understand the velocity and acceleration. I got to world 2 and level 13. It was sort of difficult though.
