Hello and welcome to the new school year! For our first blog, I would like to learn a little more about each of you and your interests.
What is your goal for this year?
What clubs, sports, or extracurricular activities are you currently involved?

DeleteHi Mrs.ego how was your summer mine was boring except when I when to the beach. I love swimming, reading, drawing. I'm looking forward to learning a lot and hopefully classes will be a blast

DeleteMy first goal this year is to try to do my best in all my classes. My extracurricular activities is just FFA. I like reading when I'm bored. I also want to go to a 4 year college to major in accounting.

DeleteMy goal of the year is to leave my junior year with straight A's. As for extracurricular activities I'm in band. In my free time like like to watch documentaries. One thing that I would like to know is, what topic do you hate teaching in physics?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I hate any topics, but I don't like teaching the upfront stuff like the metric system and the scientific method.

DeleteMy goal for this year is to go up in rank. I am in band, JROTC, dream team, clinicals, hosa, and StuCo. I work at JS septic service. What's your pet peeve?

DeleteMy goal for this school year is just to study more and get out of my solitude bubble/shell that I have. I am in choir, clinical rotation, and hosa. I like to read diverse genre of books and game on all types of consoles a lot on my free time but no I will not give you my gamer tag. Just ask for that personally. Overall, why did you want to become a teacher?

DeleteI grew up pretending to be a teacher and playing school with my younger sister and my stuffed animals. I love learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others. I also had a really bad experience in high school and I do not want that to happen to students anymore.
DeleteMy goal for my junior year is to figure out what college I am going to attend! I am not involved in anything, but I hope I can join StuCo and Hosa. I don't have a job and would like to know why Mrs. Ego decided to work at MacArthur.

DeleteI wanted to be a teacher and Michigan was not the best place for jobs. I went to a job fair and Aldine Public Schools offered me a job. I came to Houston for a visit and visited Nimitz, Nimitz 9, Carver, MacArthur, and Eisenhower. I really loved everyone I met at Mac and once I got here, I decided to stay. The students and my co-workers are pretty great!

Well my other hobbie that I love to do is to deal with a computer and know all the things there is to know about them.
I do not have a job yet but I am seeking employment.
What I would like to know about you Ms. Ego is what made you be a teacher and to teach Physics???

DeleteI have always felt a strong pull toward teaching and I love Chemistry and Physics because of all the math. I am a math nerd deep down! I love to solve math problems!

DeleteAs lil bama I want to improve on myself and social connections with other fellow students. Now, I know we are in the depths of a new era and society, but we will prevail to make everything secure and opportunistic. When I am not growing white hairs, I am in my white house listening to EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Many may be ignorant on what this may be, so let me put it to you briefly. It's a genre that consists with a tempo of 110-130 bpm. It has grown throughout the past years to what it is now. Some artists include: Deadmau5, Avicii, Tiesto, etc... This brings back memories of my junior year when I was in STUCO and Green is Love. A teacher of mine, Mrs. Ego, showed great potential of teaching."Visual," I would tell her, visual. -Jesus A. DeleteMy goal for this year is to stay on track academically and not get behind (not being achieved at this point). I cheer, love puzzles, and would like you to rap for us too!

DeleteMy goal this year is to pass all of my classes. My extracurricular activities is JROTC. I love working out to stay fit and take care of my body. When I graduate I want to go to the Army and go to college to get my degree in architecture but not sure which college I want to attend. One thing I would like to know is, what type of music do you listen to?

My extracurricular activities include STUCO, GSA, and I'm currently waiting to sign up for Green is love. On my spare time I like to read and sleep. Sleep is my favorite activity of all time. I do not have a job. I would like to know what kind of music Mrs. Ego listens to?

I assure you these current goals of yours will be achieved, but if there is ever a hand you are looking for, while undergoing situations, I would gladly offer mine. DeleteThis year I want to learn how to be more motivated and actually get my assignments/homework done on time. I am not involved in any extracurricular activities but I do plan on changing that. I'm just not sure yet. Oh, and that's another thing. I want to be more sure about what I want in my future. I kind of feel like i have nothing figured out and I'm trying to get rid of that feeling. All I really do outside of school is my homework and then sleep. I'd like to get a job but I'm not sure if I'd be able to handle it with all the school work I have. What was so interesting about physics that you decided to teach it?
ReplyDeleteAll of the math and the fact that you can learn a lot of physics by playing with toys! I'm really still a kid at heart.
DeleteFind something you enjoy and then find a way to make a career out of it. If you do, you will never "work" a day in your life.
DeleteMy goal this year is to be more involved and focused to maintain my grades throughout the school year. I am currently only involved with softball in school, but I plan on joining more extracurricular activities. Outside of school, I play softball and volleyball. As of right now I do not have a job, but I am searching for one and have the intentions of working soon. However, I have no questions for you, Ms.Ego. I look forward to being in your class this school year.

DeleteMy goal this year is to past the AP exams. I took two last year,but end up not passing any of them. At the moment, I'm part of the Jamming Generals Marching Band. I work on weekends with my dad. I am really looking foward to having lots of fun in your class Ms.Ego

ReplyDeleteI am currently involved in StuCo,Peer mediation, and accordion club. My favorite hobbies include playing piano, accordion, and traveling.I work with my dad in construction. I'd love to know why Mrs.Ego is such a positive and happy person(:
I wasn't always happy and positive. It took a while to realize worrying and feeling bad about things doesn't change anything, it just makes you feel more miserable. I remind myself that tomorrow is another day and that I could be in a much worse place than I am. I try to be thankful for what I have and not dwell on what I don't have. I remind myself that my family and I are healthy, we have a roof over our heads and we have plenty of food to eat. This helps cheer me up whenever I start to feel bad. Being happy is a choice and when you make the choice to be happy, life gets better! Great things start to happen. Its kind of weird. Everyone should try it out :)

My goal this year is to be more involved in clubs and to break 20 in the 5K for cross country. Also getting all A's and passing all the AP tests. I'm not in to many clubs. I am currently trying to get involved in more and to be in the Science Honor Society. Hobbies I sometimes do after school are making bows, running, reading and chasing my cats around. No I don't have a job and I am pretty glad I don't. I would like to know why you decided to become a teacher?
