Week 5, Due Sunday, September 29th by 11:00 pm

Last year, I assigned a mousetrap car project to my physics students.  I want to know if you are interested in doing the mousetrap cars.  It would be a major grade assignment.  At this time, I am not planning on assigning this project, but I want to know what all of you think.  If you didn't want it to be a required project/grade, I would consider maybe offering it as an extra credit project.  Please answer honestly, as I do not want to assign the project if most of you really do not want to do it.  The project would involve building a mousetrap car and then applying Newton's Three Laws to its motion.  I would also have to travel at least 5m to get full credit.  Let me know what you think.  Remember, you must post an ORIGINAL comment and REPLY to someone else's post in order to receive full credit.  As always, if you have trouble posting on the blog, you can email me through the district website, at physicswithego@gmail.com, on twitter, or on edmodo.com. Happy Blogging!

  24. It think the mousetrap project should be extra credit it is a good opportunity to show creativity and review the three laws of motion.

  29. Major grade would be best to help boosting up a student's grade. Not extra credit due to it not having much effect on a student's grade.

    1. what if the car does not end up how you expect it to go? if you get a low grade on a major grade it will lower your grade.do you truly want to risk it?

  33. I've been waiting to do this project. It seems kind of challenging it seem really fun and cool. When do we start? It would be better as extra credit though to boost up most of peoples grade.

  34. Most of us have been struggling a lot with other school work. Our US history notes kill us all. The mousetrap car will only put more pressure on us.The extra credit sounds great for the people who want to get a higher grade.

  35. Even though i finished, I would've did it for extra credit anyways.
